Fourteenth Internship Week

In my fourteenth week, I managed to add the Germantown Sno-Drifters website live, buy web hosting for my dad’s VRT System website, and edit more of Ray’s Auto Body’s website. For Germantown Sno-Drifters, I manage to get in contact with the website owners to get the site up live. They manage to change the Germantown Sno-Drifters link on the WCASC site from the old site to the new site. The only issue is that it’s not under the same subdomain as the old one. I contacted the owner about it and all he could do is change the links and not upload the site under snodrifters.wcasc.org. My client was disappointed about this and I was disappointed for them. To have me upload the new to the same subdomain as the old one, I would have to have full access to the WCASC site which is not ideal. I’m thinking it’s probably because I’m an Internship and if I work at a big company, maybe that would be possible. I was able to contact my client and made sure everything was right on the site. I even created a video on how to create a Gallery page which I think I mentioned in last week’s post. Other than that, the new Germantown Sno-Drifters site is HERE. For the VRT System website, I was able to contact GoDaddy to buy web hosting for his VRT System site. I bought the Economy Budget that was less than $60. For some reason, the keywords and descriptions I added to the code didn’t show up on the site when I refreshed. I cleared my cache and did it again and it still did the same thing. Eventually, I’ll need to create a new VRT System site probably with WordPress for easy website editing in the future. I’ll also have to contact SunAnt Interactive again to see what’s going on. For Ray’s Auto Body, I just finished their site this week. The only things I’ll have to do are the Maintenance and Evaluation Plan for Ray’s Auto Body and Germantown Sno-Drifters. I’m also going to do a video on how to add WordPress Plug-ins and how to edit a WordPress site. Here is Ray’s Auto Body website I created! I add some final touches to my Portfolio website before tonight’s event. I can’t wait to present my work to everyone!
