In my sixth week, I created a Domain Name Registration Plan for my Ray’s Auto Body. I managed to add a lot of Domain Names that go with their business. I also had to see which select three Web Hosting to choose from. I am currently going to create their site with WordPress. To create their site with WordPress, I’ll have to have them choose a Web Hosting and Domain Name. I gave prices to every Domain Name so that they know if it’s cheap or expensive. I’ve looked up a lot of WordPress Themes and had to keep it at a maximum of 3-4 Themes because if you provide them with too much, they will be overwhelmed. Once you create their Web Hosting account, they’ll have to add in their banking information since they have 100% ownership of the site. For Germantown Sno-Drifters, I looked up some Google Site Templates and found out that Google Sites is very limited on templates than WordPress. I never used Google Sites before so I managed to look up a Google Sites Tutorial on how to use it. When using it, it reminds me of using WordPress except you can install and activate plugins. It was an awesome sixth week!
Wow, impressive project scope! I too will have to research domain names for my second internship project. Interesting details about Google Sites, I have a Google account but wasn’t aware of this feature. I’m interested personally, but professionally I am weary due to Google often changing, rebranding, and discontinuing their services on offer. Do you know if you can link a Google Site to a Godaddy Domain as a redirect?
Hi Christian, I found a great video on how to link your Google Sites to a GoDaddy Domain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpP5zBNZzBk
