First Week Internship Work

In my first week of taking the Web and Mobile Internship course, I was able to find three clients. I got two small businesses (Auto Shop and Traveling Agency) and one non-profit organization (Snowmobile Club). I worked on three Project Scopes for small businesses and non-profit organizations. When I asked my clients about their budgets, one of the small businesses left me because of cost and I said that I can do it for a cheap price; and they still declined. Then, I said if you change your mind that you can contact me anytime and I thanked them for their service. I was able to create a HandShake Profile showing My Journey, Skills, Profile Picture, my work experience, volunteering, interests, etc. This was the most shocking part of my second week.

  2. Hello Patrick,
These projects sound exciting. Did you know them personally or just cold call? Have you been charging people full price?

  3. Hi Patrick,

Are these local businesses you knew of already and had a relationship with beforehand to know they needed website work? Or did you search these out on your own? If the latter, do you have any tips on how I can do the same? I’m thinking about posting about my search on social media to see if my friends need a website for themselves/their business.

    1. Hi Christian,
I knew about Ray’s Auto Body in Jackson since my family and I have taken our cars there to fix. The Germantown Sno-Drifters came to me on Social Media on a Community page. I would post on Social Media and say you want to build a website for a business and Non-Profit Organization. I hope this helps!
